The other Virginia casinos are not what you would call traditional casinos. The Virginia Lottery is charged with the licensing and regulatory oversight of all Class III casino operations.
The first one opened in July 2022, the second opened in January 2023 and two more are expected to by late 2023. Virginia has two types of casinos, The first is traditional Class III casinos, such as you would find in Las Vegas or Atlantic City.
